What it actually smells like

Rose is at the centre, but this is far removed from a soft or traditionally sweet rose fragrance. Warm cumin gives it a distinctly spicy opening, while olibanum, cedar and amber add dry, woody depth around the floral heart. Musk and gaiac wood emerge underneath as it settles, leaving the rose warmer, earthier and more understated.

Who this is for

Ideal if you like rose but prefer it dry, spicy and woody rather than delicate or overtly floral. It has an easy, unfussy character while still offering enough warmth and depth to keep the rose interesting.
